Heater Hotline

Program Overview

The Heater Hotline provides free repairs for income eligible homeowners with broken gas, oil, coal, or electric heating systems. This year-round program can also perform preventative maintenance and heater clean outs during the spring and summer months.

Heater Hotline is operated through the Energy Coordinating Agency (ECA) and funded by Philadelphia’s Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD).

The Heater Hotline program is available to Philadelphia homeowners that own and occupy a single family home, and have annual income below the 150% Federal Poverty Level (FPL).

Annual income cutoffs for are listed below by household size.

For every additional person beyond 8, add $7,080.

Call the Heater Hotline at 215-568-7190 if you are in need of heating repairs and believe you may be eligible based on your home ownership and household income. The application process will be completed over the phone.

Winter Hours: 24 hours a day, Spring/Summer: 7:00am-5:00pm
